I’m using Lite at the moment, which of these features you describe apply to that? Tons of fun to be had in Cantabile Performer with eDrums… map the rack toms to congas for a song (or even just for the percussion intro). you can do this specifically for a single song, without the need to edit your drum kits, e.g.If you need special sounds, one-shot-samples etc, you can split your MIDI input in Cantabile with the route properties and then send these specific pads to a different VST instrument (I use sforzando for my one-shot samples).Simply use a MIDI mapping plugin like the PizMidi MidiNoteMap (fixed by - link here. re drum mapping: I’d recommend keeping everything within Cantabile instead of fiddling with Bome.Englishman In New York), you can simply add both racks to that song and use separate routes from your input - activate the first during the “normal” song, activate the second via song state switch for the rock drum break if you need two different drum sets in a song (e.g.Of course, you’ll need enough RAM to keep all drum sets loaded… adding all your songs to a set list and then setting this setlist to “pre-load” will load all your drum kit racks in advance, so switching will be very fast.a good way to do this would be to create separate racks for your different drum kits and then use these racks in your song files.due to the loading times of sets in Superior Drummer, it isn’t advisable to try to switch drum sets within the same instance of Superior drummer in Cantabile.Perhaps you could just copy that midi file over to reaper after playing? There are probably other ways using “Song States” but I haven’t bothered exploring that yet because I’m able to switch between the 3 kits I’m using easily with the Pre-loaded Set List.Ĭantabile can record what you are playing in it. That was the first way I figured out how to achieve this. Come to think of it, a YouTube video of that happening would astound forum members over at. When you load the setlist it takes a bit more time but you can then switch kits instantly by changing songs.

The magic that Performer brings for a live edrummer using Superior Drummer is that you can save a bunch of songs, each with a different Superior Drummer kit (even from different libraries) and put them in a “Set List” and then check a box next to “Preload” in the Set List Menu. When you save a song everything is captured, the VST Plugin’s settings, the routing between plugins, the audio and midi input and output routings. Lite, Solo and Performer all have the same song save ability if that’s what you mean by snapshot.
